LETTER FROM THE SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT
Dear Potential Brothers,
My name is Shashank Kashyap and I am extremely excited to serve as your Senior Vice President for the Beta Kappa chapter of Delta Sigma Pi. On behalf of all brothers of DSP, I invite you to join us for the Spring 2024 recruitment cycle. Every semester, we choose a theme for each cycle which we feel embodies our organization; this semester our recruitment theme is “Embark on Everest: Elevate your summit with DSP.”
With countless organizations and communities at this university, it can be daunting to choose one that is tailored to your preference. DSP specializes in striking a balance between our three pillars: professionalism, brotherhood, and community service. Our focus is for every brother to triumph in each by developing themselves both professionally and personally, forming everlasting bonds with members, and to give back to not only the fraternity, but to all communities. If this aligns with your own personal motives, then I urge you to come out to our recruitment events and connect with brothers.
Joining DSP has been one of the most impactful experiences of my college journey and I cannot imagine my development without this organization. I have been exposed to countless facets of professionalism and learned what it takes to succeed as a business or economics student at this university. Additionally, joining this organization gave me a family of mentors and friends who support me at every turn, something that I yearned for and am tremendously thankful for.
I challenge each and every one of you to venture beyond your comfort zone, put yourself out there, and come out to our recruitment events. Who can apply?
Undergraduate students at UT Austin that are majoring in Business or Economics.
How do I join?
Attend our recruitment events and submit an application! All details will be posted on our Instagram and this website.
What is pledging?
Pledging occurs after the recruitment process is complete and you have been selected as a potential brother of Delta Sigma Pi.
It is a period of time where you will have the opportunity to learn about our three pillars, the Beta Kappa chapter, and develop your personal and professional skills. We have a no-tolerance policy for hazing.
What is a pledge class?
The group of people who pledge with you during the semester. This semester’s pledge class will be called the Beta Mus.
How many people are admitted every semester?
There is no set number. Pledge classes have ranged from 11 - 25 people.
How much does it cost to join?
We are one of the most affordable business fraternity on campus! We will work with you!
Dues will be approximately ~ $350 this semester!
